Hi folks,
I'm planing a replacement strategy for my beloved B&W DM 602S2. I will go for a pair of B&W 805S which I had the pleasure to hear a few weeks ago (absolutely stunning!).
My biggest concern is now if my electronics will be sufficent to drive the 805S. For monetary reasons I will start with my current setup: RA-1060 with RCD-1070. I plan on upgrading to to RB-1080 and hook this to the pre-out of my old RA-1060. Is this a resonable solution or will the old amplifier do too much harm to the signal?
Do you think this will be acceptable for some time or am I wasting too much potential of the 805S?
To sum up my investment plan:
1) Buy two B&W 805S
2) Buy Rotel RB-1080 (hooked to RA-1060)
3) Buy Rotel RC-1090 / sell RA-1060
What do you think, will the end stage be sufficent or is further investment neccessary? Any comments are welcome!
Thanks in advance,
Forcee.
