1065 and annoying OSD settings (or lack thereof)

Does anyone else find the lack of programmable OSDs annoying with the 1065 and I assume the other units as well? What I mean is this: it sucks you can only have the OSD on or off. I want the volume display and the three speaker quick adjustments available on the TV screen, but not the rest of the OSD stuff.

Biggest gripe is when changing cable channels, the 1065 flashes the OSD switching from PLII to DD to whatever else and it covers the channel and show description from the cable display, so I cant see whats on.

When I turn off the OSD, i lose the volume view and the other speaker adjustments. Sure, I can adjust them without the OSD, but it would be nice to have them. I don't really care to see what audio format each channel is palying in.

    Is anyone at Rotel listening?

Why subwoofer so much louder from 1065?
    by ejfiii
Okay, first of all I have no idea how you people are calibrating your speaker levels with the AVIA DVD? First the 1065 has no component OSD for adjusting the level while the Tone is playing. Secondly, when you go to the Speaker level page of the 1065 OSD, it automatically plays the 1065 test tones....

How can Power Failure cause 1065 to lose all settings?
    by ejfiii
How in the world can this happen. I leave for work at about 7:30 am and leave the plasma and 1065 on so my wife can watch tv during the day. Long story, but I havent got the ir system working yet, so I cant teach her to turn everything on and off yet.

So anyway, I come home from work...

Any tricks to get C2 OSD for HDMI Sources???
    by jprafter
I'm very happy with my Parasound setup though it looks like my C2 will never support HDMI fully. I use a combination of my C2 and TV for video switching along with the MX-700 macros. So I really have no need for a Parasound HDMI switch only device, since it will do nothing to help with OSD.

Mute button down, no version number on 1065???
    by ejfiii
Okay, this could be the most annoying thing ever (well besides my IR system not working). My second 1065 in a month and no matter how long I hold down the mute button, I get no display of the firmware version number. Both of them have done this. The remote and mute button work fine, I push it and it...

    RSX-1065 Issues
    by Arnold van Oostrum
Like the RSP-1066/RSX-1055 the RSX-1065 also has some point that need to be enhanced or fixed.

The RSX-1065 has some flaws in decoding the sound format.
    1) There seemes to be no difference in normal DD5.1 and DD5.1 EX sound. With both formats the RSX-1065 uses the CB speakers....
