    My new Halo Integrated Amp

    Greetings all,

I thought I would introduce myself as stereo5, an audiophile for the last 47 years. I purchased a Halo Integrated Amplifier and I am playing it at this moment. This amplifier replaces a Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum tube integrated amp. I was growing weary of replacing the power tubes as I play this system at least 8 hours a day, every day of the year. This is my secondary system which is in my home office which I spend a lot of time in. The Halo is outputting to a pair of Golden Ear Triton Two speakers and thus far, I have found the bass of the Halo, far superior to the tube amps bass in pitch and definition. The tube amp used KT-120 tubes for 100wpc.

I was also quite impressed with the dealer from whom I made the purchase from. They were very knowledgeable, friendly and very quick to reply to email messages via a phone call (imagine that!).

Here are a couple of pictures. The last picture is with the tube amp in place. The speakers are oriented that way because I sit off to the side at my computer under one of the dormers. This system is for very casual listening.

Hey, stereo5, welcome to the Guide and Club Parasound! And another  for the new toy! I'm not as familiar with the integrated amp model, so I'd like to hear more of your thoughts too.

            N804 & tube amp question
            by jclyle
A question for those of you using tube amps or tube integrateds with your N804's or other Nautilus series, how many watts are your amps? I am debating a integrated tube amp, im trying to stay around $2K, but most of the models are limited to 50 wpc or so. Right now I have a McIntosh MA6900 that is...
