How Does The A21 Deal With Voltage Lower Than 120?

My Line Condtioner Is Reading Out Only 112 Volts Right Now. Seems To Me That The Bass Response Is Really Lacking At The Moment. I've Been Thinking About A Voltage Regulator But Dont Want To Spend Too Much, Might Get A Used Avs2000 Or Something, Dont Want To Spend More Than $500 Tops.

Just Wondering How The A21 Deals With Lower Voltage Levels.

I would think they simply draw more current to make up for the difference. Between 108v and 125v is usually normal. I know the power at my old place used to drop to 106 and the Halos did fine. Unless you're absolutely cranking it, what do they really need to deliver most of the time, about 2-5 watts?

No. There is nothing in the unit that will make up for it. The rail-to-rail voltage will be smaller. Consequently, the peak output wattage will be slightly lower.

However, remember that doubling the power will only affect the sound level by 3dB, so a 5-10% decrease in peak power is usually not noticable. (It is probably more noticable with 8 ohm speakers than with 4 ohm speakers. 8 ohm speakers need more voltage...)

thought i may add, my speakers are 90db/1watt efficient. and i was playing it at low volume. probably still running in class A because i was not playing above normal listening levels.
