Welcome to the 703 club. Mine are about a week and a half old. Still early in the break in process. My set up is totally new: amps, cables, speakers. I figure it will be at least a month before I've broken everything in.
So far the 703s are sounding great. I'm playing my mains with the ASW750 sub which sounds good, but I'm hoping will get better. I'm thinking this will take the longest to break in. Sounds kinda tight and needs to warm up a bit. At least that's what my unexperienced ears are telling me.
Congrats again!- Bottom

I am only using for 2 channel and am not using a sub.
I considered getting a small sub to support the base if it needed it but so far they sound great without. The dealer says it way premature to even consider a sub and that the base should only get better with break-in.
He thinks that for 2 channel the 703's will have more than enough bass.Mitchell- Bottom

EAmin,
With respect to my comments on the ASW750, it seems tighter than I am expecting. I'm thinking this is because the speaker is so new (1.5 wks old).

I too like in between the speakers if you have 1 sub, or in both front corners if you have 2. Depending on how adjustable your sub is, you may need to start 1" from the corner and work your way out 1" at a time until they "lock" into the room. Personally, with the subs I have, I got fed up with that technique and just put them in 1" from the corner and compensated with the controls.- Bottom

703's Sound Amazing
update on my 703's . well they sound fantastic. (and better and better with age).I've been rearanging all my speakers. I actualy have my two subs at either end of the tv then my 703's next to them.I pushed the subs almost against the wall and put in the port plugs on the 703's. seems like a lot tighter bass 8)- Bottom

Michael,
I presume you mean the (recently renamed by SVS) PB12-Ultra/2 which is an awesome sub - so tight and deep and able to go loud enough and deep enough for 99.9% of people and rooms (well into the "rearranging your internal organs for you if you like" category)
You'll love it!

Michael,
Do you think its overkill?
It's perfect!!!!!
When 3 SVS 25-31CS is not enough...
See this LINK
Let me quote from it:
This is truly a sub to behold. I am very impressed with the extension of the PB2-Ultra in it's 25hz stock tune. I actually went back over to check if I had the filter set to 20 instead of 25 after listening for a few minutes..Yip it's at 25 Hz alright. The 25 Hz tune has admittedly always been my favorite tune and I have always coveted the spl capability the 25 Hz tune provides with more extension. This is what the PB2-Ultra brings to the table amongst other very nice traits. After doing a quick sweep I found my conclusion was correct. The PB2-Ultra was very close to flat at 20Hz in my leaky HT room. I was expecting it to drop like a rock at 22Hz and under like my 25-31CS+'s. Nothing wrong with that kind of performance but the extended 2-3 Hz is very noticeable with no compromise above. I will do more detailed/lower sweeps in the close future to familiarize myself better and have more to say in a picture Thread. I feel no need to set this guy in the 20 Hz tune configuration though.
Would I say it was worth it to switch over from three 25-31CS+'s to the PB12-Ultra/2? I would say yes with out a doubt. Quality bass coupled with affordability, extension and spl all add up to a very good thing. No regrets.- Bottom
