    604S3 question

I recently just upgraded my speaker cables to the Kimber 8TC. When doing this i noticed a metal peice that connects the 4 binding post on the back. Should this be on when using bi-wire or jumpers? Are they only supposed to be in when using just the lower binding posts...

    something like this

    thanks

If you are bi-wiring remove those jumpers.

well..just checked and my lcr 600 had this bracket as well...not to mention, on of my connectors in my bi-wire application was not connected!...aftern connecting it and removing the bracket, their is certainly a clear difference for the better....not sure which part created the benifit or whether it was a combination..but i am definately a lot happier with my set-up...

        Thanks

B&W 604s3 Speaker Rewire - Well worth it!
          by PewterTA
Okay, so I've been working over the last couple weekends when I've had time to rewire my 604s3, LCR600, and 602s3 (got 4 of them).

This initially started out when I took my speakers over to the meet at WKHanna's house to compare. I noticed how much "warmer" these sounded over...

Using cable jumpers with a B&W 703 speaker.
          by pbarata
As suggested by 703 manual it's recommended that one can connect both the positive and negative of the speaker cable terminals to the woofers first, or to the tweeters first, it doesn't really matter. However, if the speaker cables are connected to woofer first, I find that the sound becomes a little...

          jumpers on AV-receiver
          by Arnold van Oostrum
My AV-receiver has jumpers on the backside for each channel that connects the pre-amp part with the poweramp part. If using an external poweramp, the jumper for the channel has to be removed.

These jumpers are thick metal brackets. I saw that i.e. Audioquest has specific jumpers made...

604S3 or CDM 1 with sub?
          by vBullet
I bought a pair of 604S3 to replace my old CDM 1.
At least I have a full sound but I'm missing the realistic sound from the CDMs.
So I was wondering if it would be better idea to buy a good subwoofer for completing the sound of the CDMs and give back the 604s.
          Anyone using that...
