I would like to find out whether any other B&W owner has experienced this before:
I own a pair of N8xx speakers. There is a problem with the cabinet -- there is a clear and obvious separation of the veneers. If I make a warranty claim, is this a repairable defect or would the speakers have to be replaced? Even if the agent claims that it is repairable, I have my doubts that they can actually do it, considering that the cabinet work is originally undertaken in a specialised factory in Denmark. What are your views?
If the speakers need to be replaced, and if they don't have any stock of the N8xx speakers but only have their current 8xxS or 8xxD speakers, are they obliged to replace with the current equivalent? Or can they tell me that I need to pay the difference to upgrade to the current model (as all their prices have now gone up compared to the N8xx prices)?
Thanks for your views.
