Just curious shouldnt the hdtv go inbetween the 803S infront of the window!!

Absoluetly right. The tv should be in the middle but that blocks the nice view.
( I rotated the room 90 degree so that speaker s get a balanced room)
The second phase of my system upgrade is to have a projector screen hanging from the window bench for AV system movies.
The TV you saw is a 42" non FullHD Pioneer plasma, it is a bit thick.
I hope to replace it with a thinner and lighter LCD and hooked it up on the same side wall with a adjustable TV arm.

What are your room dimensions? Also what size screen do you have and how far do you site from it?

Love the room by the way. I am looking into something along the same lines (in time). 30 days until my basement gets water-proofed....

That is very nice set up. I'd pay admission price to watch a movie.

I just have to ask out of curiosity and interest why you chose to go with the DS3 over anything from the 800 series or even the DS7?

Doesn't look like money is an issue. But I will take your word on it.
Nice room. Even the lamps are pretty kool.

Midgard Audio Oberon 6.1 ICE based monoblocks. Quite a good match for the 802Ds never runs out of steam with its 600 Wats and good stability on a difficult load like this. And for the money more or less unbeatable.

Pictures of just added BDI cabinets, Classe CAM-350 mono amps, and a B&W HTM2D center. Since taking the pics, I angled the HTM2D up about 2 1/4", and added floor standing silk plants behind each speaker which has worked suprisingly well with toning things down a bit.

I think I would switch the 802D with the 803D. I am sure you have tried both scenarios, what was the deciding factor for which speakers went in what room?

Time for something a little less pretty

I had been to a B&W dealer in Brisbane and seen these upright cylinders at the back and either side of a pair of Signature Diamonds. Later that weekend I notice my old rear speaker stands sitting idle in my spare room. Even though I only had 2 I figured the might help with the reflections off the rear wall. I just wrapped a couple of old towels around them and noticed a significant improvement in clarity and smoother treble when they were placed directly behind the speakers. With a bit of effort I am sure they could look alot better than they do.

If its a living room then use a wall hanging or something like that behind your speakers. It all adds up and can give as much improvement as a new component. With the amazing gear that some guys have it could make a great system sound stunning.
