My balanced power project part I (pictures)

I got tired of waiting for my repaired ribbon so i could complete my main speaker project so I decided to start working on the quitech transformer in a box.

This thing is huge!!! 90lbs and 12" in diameter !!!

I've become interested in all this talk of balanced power. After doing alot of reading I'm quite confused and was hoping someone would clear up a couple of things..

How does balanced power remove/reduce noise in the existing AC that is delivered to my house? I don't understand how this...

We've given alot of bandwidth to big $$, and even bigger $$$$ balanced power units. So I decided to create a budget (can't get any cheaper) DIY balanced power unit. This is one that even Andrew can afford, and that he can build ........... :wink:
