I'm considering upgrading to a new amp for the Ardent D's. Two brands that I like so far are:

Ages since I was doing speaker DIY but a requirement for a new sound system was created when I purchased an intel NUC for a HTPC.
What with the only speakers being those in the TV I saw the need to improve on this situation.

well, i have my prototype class d amps built and running! im listening to them to see how i like them and if they are a good match for my system.
they are build off of the UCD400 modules from Hypex. so far, they sound great.
