Baffle Thickness
Hello all. Been a while since I posted here as I haven't had any builds lately. I finally got back into the groove and am currently working on a pair of Zaph ZRT sealed bookshelves. I've got the boxes built and hope to veneer this weekend. For the baffle I am thinking about using some Paperstone...- Bottom

Crossover layout and baffle cutout questions
So I got all my parts for the Swope Main MTMs I'll be building soon and I have some general questions about XO layout and building before I begin.
1.) This XO uses two polypropylene caps and one non-polarized electrolytic cap. The two Dayton polys aren't marked +/- anywhere so I'm assuming...- Bottom

Question about doubling front baffle...
The parts have been ordered for my Stentorians.
In the build notes, Curt states that it would be better to at least add 1/2" to the front baffle. That makes some sense.
However, I'm going to need to buy an extra 1/2 sheet of MDF, and I was going to get 3/4"....- Bottom

Effect of baffle edge treatment
Perhaps some of the crossover gurus can answer this for me:
The crossovers here are designed with a certain baffle width, and (I think) a specific edge treatment to that baffle.
What effect does the roundover, or the elimination thereof, have on the sound of the enclosure?...- Bottom

Example of the Effects of Room Placement & Baffle Step
I'm making my way through Floyd Toole's book, "Sound Reproduction". So far, it has me some what shaking my head in disagreement, but that is another thread (and whom am I to argue with Floyd Toole?). One thing I just came across that I thought would be very helpful, because it comes up all...- Bottom

Question about removable front baffles?
I'm not new to diy speakers. I've built about twelve speakers over the last few years. I always build my front baffles 1.5" thick. However, I usually glue them and use biscuits to hold them firm. I notice a lot a beautiful diy speakers with either a black front or a different veneer. I usually...- Bottom

Test Baffle, design help
I am in need of a test baffle design or plans.
I figured this is THE place to ask.
Is there a standard design that one should stick to?
I've seen a couple partial pictures of Zaphs baffle. Has He published the design?
Thanks- Bottom

alternative to U-baffle for this design...
Any suggestions as to a suitable way to include the following two woofers in this design? I'm still building with scrap wood:
The problem is I can't fit the two Peerless woofers (>200Hz) in the main panel and get tweeters at good listening height, but I *don't* want to...- Bottom

Cutting angled front baffles??
I believe this is JonMarsh's design?
My question is how do you cut the slanted portions of this front baffle? I am interested in a somewhat similar design for an RS180/27TDFC 2-way that I'm building, but I've struggled with ways to cut this type of angled front panel. The...- Bottom
