For fans of Star Wars ships

Got a printer? Make some models . Scroll down a bit for the spaceships.

Printable PDFs (with color) to make desktop replicas of most of the OT spaceships.

    Wow!!
That hobby is out of this world! :E
    Seriously!!
Those paper models look so real,,Well done.
Time consuming ,but looks like it's worth the effort.

The only way I would have time to do that though,
    is to clone myself first..

      Pretty cool stuff, B. :T

I like the approximate scale on the Star Destroyer. . . like someone would REALLY know?

OK, I shall out myself as a complete geek. That is the correct scale. Spent quite a bit of time figuring out as a teenager what the real size of a star destroyer would be, using only the movies as a guide. It came in at right about a mile. This came about as one of the 'art of' or illustration sketchbooks books was listing it at less than half that, and it just seemed way to small to be correct.

Darth's big guy pegs in at 15 miles or so.

Now that you mention it, I have the complete set of The Art Of . . . books. I'll have to dig 'em out. You think 1/2 mile would be too small? That's two Sears Towers end-to-end, plus some!

You can pretty well scale from a ship of known size, the Millennium Falcon, up to the Princess' ship the Tantive IV, from there to the Destroyer's hangar bay on the bottom and on up. Trust me. Many nerds have argued over this and it comes in around a mile.

I will retract my above comment about the superstar destroyer though, I think it was only 8-10X as big.

My main reason for obsessing over Star Wars was the quality of the model building. At one point, I could quite probably have built a Millennium Falcon replica that was 95% accurate in every little detail from memory.
