horrible toronada in Oklahoma, , 24 known dead

Very sad news today out of Oklahoma, a 2 mile wide tornado tore through Oklahoma City, just devastating. We hope all our members in that area are safe. I'm not sure what else to say in situation like this. Our hearts go out to those affected.

According to CNN, this started as an F1, and within 20 minutes was an F4 tornado. These people had very little warning, and you think you are preparing for a small tornado, and instead, it becomes a monster.

Tragedy of lost children seems very high at this point, reportedly 20 children lost. :-( Just to sad to even think about, and sadly, this tragedy's aftermath is not over by any means.

Edit F4, or F5, I am not sure, I just went by what CNN said last night on Pierce Morgan, they could be wrong. I thought I heard F4 at one point. Agree though, sounds like F5 to me. It was as if they lived the movie twister yesterday. Very sad indeed.

2 miles wide and they are only calling it an F4? Especially with the casualties, sounds more like an F5 to me. Either way I've been in many of tornado's throughout my life and they can be quite devastating. Thoughts go out to all in Oklahoma tonight for sure. Very sad news.

They did re-evaluate this tornado, and rated it an EF5.

          200mph sustained winds in it.

I did change the title of how many died, it was reduced from 51 to 24. Though there are at least an elderly couple still missing. Their house is ok, but for some reason, they are missing. The family has searched everywhere for them. Very strange. Why were they not home...

I don't know if there are other question marks at this point on people missing. Information is sketchy.
