This one is better than HDTV!

    Source "The Inner Ear Report"

Scientists at Sandia National Laboratories recently created a 10 x 13 foot digital screen, boasting 20 million pixel resolution. At a distance of only ten feet, that is as good as the human eye can see!

The system uses a cluster of 16 screens in a 4 x 4 matrix driven by 64 processors operating in parallel. The "Cluster" can be used to quickly display ultra fast or Ultra-complex phenomena such as a nuclear explosions and fires.

Their next goal is to increase the resolution of the new screen to 64 million pixels with the addition of two 16-screen arrays. (End)

No word on price or availability yet but I wonder if it will give Front projectors and plasmas a run for the money!

Sounds great, Clive, but does it have a good scaler for my DVD's and Laser Disks? And where can I get a good price on the internet for it?

At least I can demo it easily, as I live in Livermore, CA.

I believe that no-one (Electronic Manufactors) have jumped for this new technology yet. Sandia Labs only does the research and development no mass productions. Sandia Labs seem to be more involved in spy and space equipment more so for terrorist tracking and advance military aid.

Just don't sell your gear yet my friend!

Uh, but isn't this just another 1.3 ratio screen? I mean let's get with the program, at least set it up for 16:9.

I guess I won't be putting this on my wish list.

Clive, our friend and Guide Administrator
              by Lex
Today, I received an email from Clive's wife. Clive asked her to update us. I was completely out of the loop. I had no idea that October 25, Uncle Clive had a pacemaker put in. I am not sure I was supposed to share this. But since Clive is our friend, I felt an obligation to put him in the HTG thought...

Per Clive's request, his user name has been changed from "Uncle Clive" to just "Clive". This change automatically reflects in his posts, but some places on the site (such as last post in a forum or thread) may still say Uncle Clive until someone posts in that forum or thread....

DH Labs Silver Sonic Q-10 Speaker Cable
              by Phil Rose
Because of a thread on another forum where our very own ThomasW recommended DH Labs Silver Sonic T-14 speaker wire I decided to order a bi-wire set. Not until the cables were on their way did I find that DH Labs "just" introduced their Q-10 cables. See this link for details of the cable:h...

              by martino
Greetings; I'm picking up my B&W 803S's Friday...I am going to upgrade my cables..I was considering the Terra Labs RSC1000's....my dealer says I should have the Vector 1's...I don't know if I can convince the wife to drop $1K more on cables...the RSC1000"s would be $250.00ish.

              Hey Guys,

I've been busy downsizing the monumental system I had put together and am playing with Pass Labs with 802D's

Anyone got any feedback about Pass Labs Amps and 800 Series speakers I would like to hear their opinions.
