Which BluRay Player with Outlaw 990 Preamp?

Just bought an Outlaw 990 Preamp. It does NOT decode the two latest codecs. I am going to use the 7.1 Analog Ouputs on a BluRay player. Which player would be best for this. My current player only has 5.1 outputs.

Oppo BD-83 or BD 80. They are on my (very) short list for my next player for exactly that reason.

Since you will use the analog outputs I suggest the Oppo BDP-83SE over the BDP-83.
      Main System:
      B&W 801D
      Emotiva USP-1 Pre-Amp
      Chord SPM-650 Stereo Amp
      Oppo BDP-105
      Squeezebox Touch

      Second System:
      B&W CM7
      Emotiva UMC-1
      Emotiva UPA-2
      Oppo BDP-83SE
      Grant Fidelity DAC-09

I have a Pioneer BDP-320, which has 7.1 analog outputs that produce better sound than the NON SPECIAL EDITION Oppo BD83, and it costs less than half as much. The analog's have a variable crossover point and distance settings for all of the speakers and the sub.

Pic quality is excellent, too. The only negative is that loading times are longer than the Oppo.

P.S. Pioneer's recently released BDP-330 does NOT have 7.1 analog outputs.

Excellent post. Thanks for the info. I will look at the Pioneer as well.

            Hello Everyone,
I have a Pioneer Elite BDP-05FD Blu Ray player and the Blu-Ray portion of it is not working. It still plays audio CDs and regular DVDs. The reason why I love this machine is that it has RCA audio outs for my system so I know I am getting the best possible audio (meaning I don't...

I'm in the process of rebuilding my audio system from the ground up. I don't have unlimited funds, but at the same time I can spend a reasonable amount of money, I'm not going to spend $20,000 for a new system, but I'll spend several thousand. I enjoy movies and need a good set up for HT. But I also...

            Pre/Pro- Rotel, Outlaw 990

            Hi everybody,

I'm considering a pre-amp for my RB 1090 and RMB 1095. I am looking at Rotel RSP 1068 (used) or an Outlaw 990. I would say around 1100 bucks or under would suffice for the moment.

I considered the RSP 1069 but it is very expensive and has many issues that...

Is anyone using outlaw with B&W
            by cates
            Hello,

This is my first post to the group after lurking for some time. My question is in relation to Outlaw Audio gear, specifically the 990 pre/pro and their amps.
My speaker system is already in place and consists of 602 fronts, 601 rears, LCR 60 and 650 sub. I realize after...
