    Starting HT system

Whats up fellas... happened to stumble across this forum, I have not been much of an audiophile except for headphones. I just started building my home theater and just wanted some input if I should add anything.... so far I purchased

I already have all the mentioned below, I didnt purchase online as I was a little antsy and wanted it right away but I got the dealer to give a 22% discount and throw in free high quality speaker cables.

not much room so i opted for the 805's
    b&w 805's (fronts)
    b&w htm4s (center)
b&w m-1 (surround mounted on wall)
    velodyne spl-1000r sub
yamaha rx-v2700 receiver (the network function works nice as stream most of my music off my computer)

I pretty much listen to music and watch movies equally, I dont listen to anything in particular just a wide range of any and everything, I got a wii for games and a ps3 hooked up (mainly for bd) and also a satellite box for hd channels.

    any input is appreciated

Looks like a great start! Over time if you are like most of us here you will start doing upgrades. I don't know anything about your receiver but I have to tell you that after two years I finally went to separates (Krell).

The best bang for you bucks short term might be to look at your room acoustics. It will bring the best out of the gear you have. I have an Alpha certified HT room you do not need to spend mega bucks on that sometimes small changes make big differences.
I started with 805s’s in the front they are great speakers! Good luck, and be sure to check out the B&W forum here!

New 804's, Arcam AVR 350 versus Yamaha RXV2700
      by fatswillie123
Features versus performance is the dilema. The Yamaha is loaded with features and cheaper than the Arcam. Is it snobbery, or is the Yamaha RXV2700 receiver really less of a product than the Arcam AVR350. Which receiver will treat my new 804's better. No comments about seperates as I have no space or...

      703’s vs. a used pair of 805s’s
      by leej
My first post here. I have larned much, just following some of the trreads.
I was reading the thread "New CM-9 or Used 805S for same price." I find myself asking a similar question, except that i am looking at a used 703’s vs. a used pair of 805s’s. I can save a few bucks with...

My Pocket Rocket; A High Performance 805S Based Alternative
      by Karma
      HI All,
I’m in the midst of an experiment. The HT system I am currently putting together is for my bedroom. It’s now mostly finished and I must say it sounds very good. Here is the essence of the experiment.

Can I use a good bookshelf speaker (the 805S) and a good subwoofer...

      Upgrading from 805S to 803S
      by texasbwfan
      Good Morning,

It may be time for my 805S to go. My new home has a significantly larger family room with ceilings that are 16 ft. tall. The room is also twice as big as the room in my former home. As you can imagine, the 805S are having difficulty providing enough sound for the space....

      Comparison: 805S to Nautilus 805
      by Pieter
I’m breaking in a brand new pair of 805S’ I’ve got on demo from a local dealer. Been itching to compare them to the Nautilus 805s that have seen service in my room for the past 16 months.

Set the 805S’ up on stands last night, did not change location or positioning from the Nautilus...
