Just bought a SACD player.......:-))))

Thanks to a " nudge" from a friend and a buying tip from the AudioAsylum, I now a " new adopter" .

SCD-777ES, 55lbs, less than $1700!

At first I was VERY hesitant, but after hearing one I was seduced.

Here's an " image" for the sound. The " best" characteristics of CD, combined with the " best" characteristics of vinyl, and no that's not an oxymoron

It has the " warmth and presence" of vinyl combined with the " detail and clarity" of CD.

Another nice benefit is that it's an amazing " standard" CD player too. Reveling of detail/sound quality, I've never previously heard in my CD collection.

If you get a chance to audition one...try it. You might be surprised.

Congrats on the new addition to your system. I got a chance a few weeks to demo a SCD-777ES player. The one I auditioned was not fully broken in. I do plan later to get a do another home demo with one that is fully broken in.

Very nice Thomas! But you know you just set yourself up. Now, after it's broken in, and you have gotten intimately familiar with it, you have to do a review in Review Dejure' to make us all green with envy.
