    The inventor of the Phonograph

    Came across this photo today, this is who started audio. Salute gentlemen! Emile Berliner Somewhere between 1910 and 1932, not sure exactly when.



    Edit, thanks for the clarification on Edison. Loos like Berliner did something right though...

    I thought Thomas Edison had something to do with it too. Maybe he refined it later on or something?

      AFAIK, Edison's phonograph precedes Berliner's by almost 10 years. Berliner invented the flat shellac double-sided disc medium, which has evolved into today's vinyl LP, as opposed to Edison's cylinder format. Berliner started the Deutsche Grammophon recording company, still in business today.
