good ESL amplifier that works with extreme capacitive loads

As the title states, what is the best amplifier to power an ESL with an extremely high capacitance (~20"+ wide and 7' tall with very close D/S spacing) that doesnt cost an arm and a leg. I am NOT going to *direct drive* the ESL with this amp, a transformer (I have to decide what type I will use) will be used. I'd like to achieve 8kv with a step-up transformer.

I have a very low budget (~$600) in comparison to most mid-high end amplifiers, but am willing to buy used from ebay or the forums.

DIY ESL build/suggestions THREAD (all questions concerning build will be in here)
        by thadman
Ok well here it goes, Im making one single thread to hopefully cover all the questions I have I dont have a massive budget, but I do want big sound. ESLs seem like the ticket (not too hard to construct, ill have to buy the parts in bulk so if I screw up I can always make more, easy to experiment...

multiple spacing on ESL...possible to avoid directionality?
        by thadman
Im aware that one of the main issues concerning ESLs is directionality, and I'd like to combat that somewhat. Would it be possible to build an ESL with multiple panel widths (say (1) .5", (2) 2", (2) 6") while running all of them fullrange to avoid directionality? Would there be any...

        Ayre V5 amplifier
        by JonMarsh
In the midst of last weeks tragic events, I had a few uplifiting moments, including receiving the Ayre V5 amplifier I had on order.

This is a 150W/ch @8 ohms, 300W/ch @4 ohm rated amplifier, using no loop feedback. Unlike some amplifiers, such as the Monarchy models, which...

        Integrated Bass Bins/Spacing
        by derekbannatyne
A few years ago, I built the Modula MT (bookshelf) design on this website using the Dayton RS180 and the Seas 27TDFC. Unfortunately, I've once again developed the itch to build something audio-related, and was thinking of simply re-designing the cabinet into a floor standing design and re-using the...
