The fact is that there is absoluetely NO reason why a Car-Sub wouldn't sound FINE at home ! As far as your Car-Sub is a quality product !

Basically, the only thing that you will need is a good additionnal amplifier. Be sure that your reciever/processor has a low-pass filter (generally the case), so that only the low-freq (<200-150Hz, ideally between 60 and 100Hz - depending on your main speakers and room-size) are transmitted to your additionnal sub-amp.

      Hope this helps...

Car systems are usually tuned quite high, since most often the goal is high output vs low frequencies. So depending on the driver and the box tuning, you might be better off putting the driver in a box with a lower tuning

Amp and the right box tunned low is all you should pretty much need. What type of sub is it?

I didn't want to ask this here, because I'm a big believer of finding answers to easy questions by searching. I have been searching for an answer to this for almost two weeks now and I'm just dumbfounded (or just plain dumb, I'm willing to accept that after not finding an answer on my own).
