    I have a landline - didn't want it though...

I've had good luck on AGon, but haven't used it much in the last few years. It seems to have gotten quite expensive now, relative, I guess since I was around when it was free.

I'm 35, and have a landline. (with two phone numbers) We use our cells for long distance calls, but I don't see me getting rid of the land line.

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.

I know a lot over 35. Relatives, acquaintances, coworkers, friends etc. It seems younger people don't care much about having a landline however. Take an informal poll yourself. You'll see that fewer young people have landlines as opposed to older people.
A camera, passport, good music, good food and good company is all I need.

btf, I suspect you really need to look at the location, yourself, NYC, plenty of strong cell signal I'll bet, but for those of us that live in areas of so-so signal strength the landline is still a good tool.

              Good point. Didn't consider that.

It's also a security consideration if your power goes out, and is handy for faxing!
