    Here's my TT

    Hey duders and David

    Well bought this VPI yesterday....

with a Grado Platinum wooden cartridge

    Black Diamond Racing Tone arm

    I truly love it!

The defenition and texture of all sounds create an incredible image.....the dynamic slam is bar none (compared to redbook) actually compared to a ton of table I've heard....(haven't heard the Nottingham though ops: )

The bass is so defined....no boominess....just musical!

    It's Nirvana fo' me!

If you want to listen to music for what music is....Vinyl is the way!
Got a nice rack to show me ?

Looks nice Bam! What made you pick this one over some of the other contenders?

      Hi Andrew!

Well reviews sparked my interest in VPI....

Then I found this deal on audiogon (thanks to fellow forum buddies) and the dude was in Montreal....

When I heard it....after 10 seconds...I said here's the money and walked out with the table.....

              Bam,

I keep staring and staring at that picture. That TT is stunningly beautiful. Dang, and it plays well too...

              Unbelievable.

Nice TT Bam... it looks nice anyway. I wish I could hear how it sounds over the 'net.

Amazing how old technology can sound better than the current stuff. CDs were supposed to be an improvement over LPs, what gives?

                  Thanks!

KevinP....well....yup what can I say....other than.....there is no point really in comparing the 2...they are different.

Here are my thoughts up to now....

When putting on my new Rebecca Pidgeon ...180 grams....The Raven
the first thing that hits you is musicality....warmth.....(you see for me the bright...rounded off no dynamic digital sound makes me listen critically....
Where as when I have vinyl on...I am just WOW'd...

.....So the texture of the sounds are so detailed that it gives you imaging that just makes you 8O ...then you have to giggle at the bass defenition.....it's just so defined...so musical....you are immediately saying man I have missed out on this for too long....and everything you thought you ahd to do for Nirvana is out the door and replaced with a totally new way of thinking....

Te vocals have depth....dimension...tone ....it's not just hearing them sing deep down....taking a breath.....it's that the voice is thrown at you and has height and depth to it.....
                  Guitars...drums.....so real so true....
The dryness and rough edge of digital is gone....that cold feeling....gone.....replaced with warmth and musicality....

                  It's just freakin' fantastic!
Got a nice rack to show me ?

Not to mention the album jackets and inserts that are fun to hold, look at, and read.
