    Ssp 900?

    So the 800 has maxed out at 7.1 ... And HDMI 1.4 ...

    Is Classe going to ignore Atmos , DTS:X, HDMI 2.0a and HDCP 2.2 on this platform?

    Any thoughts?

    Im considering Marantz upgrade from Rotel but would consider Classe if their tech was current. I need processing and video as well as audio... SSP800 on its own does not cut it in this form.

      FWIW, the SSP-900 was an earlier top-end processor, so there will have to be another designation.

      Also, be careful not to Google SSP900 (without a hyphen or space). Surprising results.

        I suspect the Delta series will be replaced pretty soon. Over here most of the dealers are selling their stuff ex demo, and even the newest stuff in the range is over 5 years old, with the SSP being older still.

          Classé is working on a next generation processor for the Delta Series. In the meantime, the Sigma SSP will offer upgrades to support HDMI 2.0/HDCP 2.2 and Atmos shortly.

            Marantz would not be a sonic upgrade from Rotel........just bells and whistles.

                Will it support more than 7 channels with the upgrade Patrick?

                  I *heard* that the Sigma will still be the 7 channels so would only do such as 5.2.1 on Atmos. Could be wrong though

                    I assume you mean 5.1.2 (5 main, 1 LFE / Sub, 2 heights)? If it is then sounds a bit pointless (imo) to worry about Atmos upgrade but thats just me.

                    I'd heard/read similar in the past though.

                    I know NAD with their M17 are adding 4 extra channels so was hoping Classe might do the same...

                        5.1.2 = 8 channels

                          I think the 7 channel question was excluding the LFE, as it supports 7.1 at present

                            Seems non-standard to me but it works if all parties agree.
