Sub connection on SSP-800 and CP-800 combined

Hi

Anybody having experience with having both the SSP-800 and the CP-800 and using one sub connected to both? Using the newer DB is easy as it has two inputs and a trigger connect to switch between them, but what about the rest of us that have subs with only high and low inputs - like a 855/850.
As far as I can figure out the only way would be to use one mono chanel from SSP-800 to the right input and the left to the CP-800 sub outs.??
Any experience connecting to both would be welcome.

I think that it would be logical that you connect a mono out from the SSP into the Left input and a mono out from the CP into the Right input. If you have bypass/pass through on your input to the CP from the SSP then the bass management won't be active anyway on the CP so none of what the SSP intends to send to your mains will not be diverted to the sub.

Agree it should work, but thought it better to ask the question anyway to see if anyone had past experience..
