Hello guys i have a question i had the opportunity to pick up a CP-800 i was wondering if the board upgrade was worth it.

I would say so. Especially if you use USB. When I upgraded to the rev 2 board I also went from 5200 to 2300 amp wise so some of the improvement will be there

Yes it is well worth it. I upgraded mine about a year ago. Improvement is noticeable. Excellent sound becomes even better. Also, streaming provides an opportunity to keep your computer/server/nas away, to completely eliminate any kind of computer generated noise.

I think there is no difference in SQ between the USB and network but YMMV.
