    SSP 600 Volume settings

I am not sure if the 800 and 600 act the same, so if they do let this thread be relevant to both.

I am having trouble setting the volume to what I perceive to be normal. I know its subjective, but I am looking for a constant volume setting. I want to knob to act in a way which does not goes the same speed no matter how fast/slow I actually turn the dial. I dont like how it the volume seems to "skiP". Seems to me it reacts to slow.

an anyone make a recommendation to me what works well for them and why?

If possible please be specific with the % in your settings.

    Hi Nolan,

sorry is for the MasterVolume well!?
is not like the Rotel is a roll-bal. Yuo can decide (setting) the volume
can you choice the volume at the start, the damping, level at restart,....
but the volume "skip" always...with the low, normal, fast possibility...this only for the "picture" on the display not like Rotel to have a hard volume ..

I hope this was you request.

      OK,
I had a few beers before i made the OP. What I am after is to make the nob rotary like my Rotel and I am curious to know the settings that would do that.

Ill play around with it later today, but if someone out there is like me and wants the volume knob to be "old school" let me know your settings.

If I am missing something and setting it that way would be a mistake then I am welcome to others settings that work well. I just dont like how the volume seems to skip numbers to fast and it seems a little slow on the response time so my settings must be off.

        Right Nolan,

        1. make a start volume for every ON position. ( I have at 40dB)

        2. make a mute volume (if you are listen music an you are searched at phone
--> mute -->volume go at ?? 40dB or the damping like you willl -30dB)
        3. relative or absolute (relavite)
        4. for IR go with fast or medium (= fast from the remote to go from X volume to zero)
        5. for vulume from the direct SSP the medium is a good choice.

        greeting Omar
