    Should I be worried?

    Hi Guys,

I discovered recently that when my CA2200 was in standby some informations about tha amp were available via the CAN bus.

So I saw a month ago the following messages in the event log:

    Event 1: 0 Days 00:00
    Assembly: Heatsink 1
    DC Protection trip

    Event 2: 0 Days 00:00
    Assembly: Heatsink 2
    DC Protection trip

    Event 3: 0 Days 00:00
    Assembly: Heatsink 1
    DC Protection trip

    No ideas what it means.
Nor do I know if this was present from day 1 (have the amp since 2 years) or just recently.
MonitoreD it the last month and no changes.

    Anyone can help?
Should I bring it back for a check?

Has the amplifier been in shut down for any reason in the past (in standby with any red LED’s flashing)?
If not I wouldn’t worry, these are probably messages from tests done at the factory during production since the time stamp is 0 days and 0 minutes of operation.

Amp has been into protection due low voltage several times.
      Electricity here is quite disastrous...

For those interested hereby the reply of Classé:

"I doubt that this is anything to worry about.

At some time (maybe even in the factory) the DC sensors have sensed that the output stage DC off-set became out of tolerance. There are a few reasons for this and it does not necessarily indicate a fault.

A fault would eventually shut-down the amplifier and since it has been running for a month without issue I suspect that there is no looming problem."
