    Help with CDP300

Does anyone know how to eject a disc that is stuck in my CDP300?
I inserted a DVD and it never started up and won't eject.
The status shows it as idle. When I unplug it and plug it back in during initialization I can hear it spinning away. Once initialized and turned on the screen reads the usual "insert disc"message. It won't play or eject.
I've called Tech Support and emailed them but haven't heard back yet.
    Any help greatly appreciated.

I presume that you have tried using the eject key on the remote control?

If that doesn't work, here are the instructions from the manual:

    5. The screen shows an error message and the Eject button does
not eject the disc (or the player shows some other anomalous
    behavior).
Press the Standby button so the screen dims and the blue light
    goes on.
Using the rear panel power switch, turn off the unit for at least
thirty seconds. Then turn the power back on and press Standby
    to restart the unit.

    Nigel.

      Nigel, thanks for the reply.

I already tried that, several times with no success.
I did speak with someone at Classe. There is an emergency eject button inside.
After some persuasion I was emailed a copy of the instructions used by their techs to access this button and eject the disc.
      Thanks again.

Could you possibly post that information or send it to me on PM? I will gladly give you my email address if you can scan it or forward the email. I have only had a couple of instances where my CDPs wanted to eat my DVD for dinner. So far I was able to get it to spit it out by hitting the power button on the back, but would like to know the other method just in case.

          I had the same issue.
I brougth my CDP300 to the repaircentrum (tried all options).
They fixed it in 10 minutes, no charging

Just an update for those interested......

I followed the instructions provided to me by Classe to access the disc drive and was unable to eject the disc with the emergency elect button.
I ordered a replacement drive and await it's delivery.
