Release notes posted for new firmware

Release Notes: The software update will provide functionality/usability improvements to the
features and capabilities of this model. These are as follows:
• IR and RS-232 volume adjustment speed behavior improved.
• Fixed variable crossover settings for rear speakers.
• Digital Audio output changed from PCM 2ch. downmix to RAW.
• Fixed issues w/processor locking on SPDIF sources where stream begins after input is
selected.
• Fixed subwoofer levels and support for multiple subs.
• Enhanced video muting for source changes.
• Fixed Component video output shift on PAL.
• Fixed various HDMI/DSP reporting issues and support for post processing modes.
• Functionality changes:
• Default OSD time-out changed from 3 to 5 seconds.
• Preset Config button on remote now only scrolls through “in use” configurations.

I guess its only a matter of time for the firmware update

Firmware 1.0.1 is now posted. I'm glad they've fixed those issues relatively quickly.

Now for updating, any Mac users out there who have successfully updated their Classe firmware using USB while running windows in fusion/parallels?

It seems it still has major flaws? At least they are upfront about it unlike Sony, Panasonic, Denon......

Even though people have had problems with the Sony BDP-S550 and some have experienced CD audio delay, Classe states a way to handle the update in "very rare circumstances." In addition, Classe states "DO NOT UPDATE YOUR UNIT IF THE RISK OF THIS PERFORMANCE IS UNACCEPTABLE," and Classe has offered a way to revert back to firmware 1.0.0.

Whatever the case, I think it demonstrates Classe's commitment to their product and that Classe' continues to strive for the best.
