    Second CA 2200

    Hello everybody,

    My current config: CDP 202, CP700, CA2200 BW 802D.

I have the opportunity to have a good deal on a second CA 2200.
I have already the speakers cable as I'm in biwiring.

What could a second amplifier bring to my current configuration?

Can you bridge them and use each of them as mono-blocs?

The CA-2200 is not bridgeable. Since the CP-700 has two balanced outputs the OP could bi-amp easily enough.

Absolutely, the only thing I have to buy on top of it is a second interconnect to feed the second amp. :T

But is it worth it????
Will I hear a distinctive difference???

I'm not sure. I haven't listened to two CA-2200s in a bi-amp configuration. There is someone else on the forum that had posted on a thread from a while ago that he really liked it and it was a huge improvement. I don't remember who it was though.

Only you can decide, try it out if your dealer has a demo unit?

                Hallo Birdy,

You saw the possibilities and potential of the system as Fred ...

I prefer a 2 monoblock like CAM in place a bi.amp....but for your 802D can be a good opportunity.....
...so allmost impossible to demo a biamp
                :M :M I agree
