CA-2200 & CAN-Bus

Hello again,

I need help with CAN-Bus connection between CA-2200 and CP-500?
When I connect CDP-102 & CP-500 with appropriate cable and terminator, each of devices see each other, but when I connect CDP or CP with CA-2200, there's no communication between of any kind.

Can anyone help me with this issue?

check the above link (2nd page is a diagram) in order to see if the daisy chain you do is proper!

PS. I wasn't able to find a can bus terminator but everything works fine even without one

I tried several combination including CAN-Bus OUT from CA-2200 to CAN-Bus IN of CP-500 + termination on OUT, both ways, but nothing happens.

I've done the connection exactly as described in diagram.

But this could be the issue:

"Classé Delta series products must be upgraded with CAN Bus compatible software which is posted on the Classé website. Future software releases will be CAN Bus compatible, so in order to be CAN Bus ready the software that the unit is running must be the versions listed below or greater:

Product: CA-2200 Minimum Firmware version...: D-AMP image 3v01.hex "

I'll check it as soon as get home.

My guess is firmware in the CA-2200 is old as you have suggested. I have run into that in the past. It's pretty easy to update, just follow the directions step by step and it goes pretty quickly.

Problem solved. Firmware upgraded. Everything works fine.
