    Classe 400

I am thinking very seriously about a change on my amp Bryson 4B-sst thinking I might make a change to classes 400 mono's
will they be that much better with my B&W 802D's classe cdp-100 & classe ssp-600. just wondering if I am missing
something that's worth the change. thanks for all your help.

I orginally had a Classe CA201 amplifier that I ran with my N802's for 5 years and was looking for something better since I upgraded my Classe CP47.5 pre-amp to an Ayre K5xe. I auditioned for over one week both a Bryston 4Bsst and the Bryston 14Bsst and compared this to both an Ayre V1 and a new CA2200 Delta Classe amplifier. Sometimes I really like to crank up the volume listening to Classic Rock and thought with up to 600 watts of power coming from the Bryston 14Bsst that this would give me what I was looking for, but that was not the case with this amp or the 4Bsst.

Without question the Classe was the most organic and dynamic sounding amplifier of the bunch with great bass, very liquid midrange and a sweet top end. The Bryston amps while they can give you a tremendous bottom end, does not even come close in the midrange to the Classe. In fact I could not listen loudly for a long period of time to the Bryston and my wife would complain that it just sounded harsh in comparison to the Classe which is just so smooth.

I would go with the Classe in a heartbeat. You will not be disappointed. Good luck.

He'll get better synergy with the SSP-600 and the CA-M400.
