Classe CDP-202 vs. Marantz SA-7S1

Wondering which of these is better in terms of audio?

Also, the Marantz will play SACDs and the Classe will not. Is that a make-it or break-it?

traditionally, Marantz make excellent CD player. however, they recent change the manufacturing to China, i don't know if that have any effect on the sound and quality.

with that said, B&W factory use Marantz SA1 SACD as their reference source in developing speakers.

I would have not problem with either. I do like marantz cd players.

Thanks for the input. I wound up purchasing the Marantz because it will play SACDs, and got a much better discount than for the Classe.

I will let you know when it arrives, which should be in less than two weeks.

But it promises to sound lots better than my 17-year-old Sony C77ES.

I have the Sony SCD-XA777ES and it works extremely well, I want to get an updated SACD multichannel player but Marantz is only Stereo!
