...now that CAN bus has been out for while, here is what I wish it could do for me. I have a SSP600 and a CA5200. I realized that in any given month the bulk of my listening is 2 channel (my SCD-1 to the SSP600 to the CA5200 - all balanced). Wouldn't it be cool if one could go into the CAN bus setting and be able to switch off any channels in the amp that one does not need? And more, tie it into the user configurations. For example, my "Confg1" would be my 2 channel set-up running only amp channel 1 & 5. "Confg2" would be for my multi-channel and movies listening; all five channels would turn on. Just wishfull thinking I suppose!
I was just thinking...

Your post just created my own question . . . I have the 2 channel outputs on my CD player connected to my CP-500 inputs, and the multi-channel outputs of the CD player connected to my receiver inputs. Should I have everything from the CD player connected into the receiver before it goes into the CP-500? I just thought that it was best to separate the 2 channel only signals directly through to the CP-500, and not have the receiver in the loop whatsoever for 2 channel listening.- Bottom
