Classe gear in "stand by" mode - for how long ?

Question to all of you :
I have not used my Gear for about three weeks, i have recently been busy and only used it seldom. It has been on a stand by mode all this time. Is there any possible harm in keeping the gear this way ? is there any bebefit from turning it on at times even without playing music ? ( like turning your car's engine on at times, when it is parked for a while, to keep the system running)
OR, would it better be shut off and unplugged when anticipating long time without use ? Thanks

I can't comment directly, but the manual states that prolonged standby/off might require a re-breakin period.
