How great this club is, so incredibly valuable!!
In your opinions, which of these options would you go with and why:
1) SSP 600 preamp/processor, CDP-102 CD Player, keep my Classe CA200 (11 year old power amp) for the two front speakers, and keep my Classe CAV150 (11 yr. old amp, using it bridged for 150 watts) to power the center and surrounds. In 2008, I could look into maybe getting the CM-400 mono blocks and using my existing CA200 as mono power for the center.
2) SSP600, CA3200 power amp to juice my 802D's and center channel, Sony CDPXA7ES (10 year old high end CD player). Done with power amps, but in 2008 would purchase a CDP-102 CD Player or something comparable to replace the Sony.
3) SSP600, CDP-102 CD Player, keep all my power amps as is for now, invest in the 3200 in 2008.
I know that Rebelman likes the mono blocks notably more than the 3200 amp (thank you for the great feedback Reb), but was wondering if anyone else compared the two in listening tests? Is it worth the extra bucks?
Note that I have B&W 802D's as my mains and B&W HTM2D as my center. Room is 15 by 20 with vaulted ceilings. Also have the JL Fathom F113 sub.
Thanks!!!
Dave
