I see there are 2 versions of surrounds on the W4 1757 and maybe the pair I got wasn't the better of the 2 versions. Honestly TB has been a bit annoying lately because every batch is a little different in appearance. Different connectors, different baskets, different surrounds, etc. Luckily the W4 1337's parameters haven't changed much.
I saw that in the W6 drivers I was testing- different terminal strips and arrangements, other quirks, in the same shipment.the AudioWorx

I wonder how much titanium there is in the 1337? TB has been outed for only having a tiny percentage of beryllium in their 'beryllium' domes. Not that it really matters, the performance is what counts. I'm just curious is all.- Bottom

Also, it was Usher, not TB, that was "outed" recently, unless those two have a relationship of which I'm not aware. I don't think TB even makes a Be driver yet, at least under their own brand.Welcome to Rivendell, Mr. Anderson.- Bottom

Originally posted by JedIt was TB too with their Be tweeter. It's mostly copper IIRC.
Personally, I'm waiting for the manufacturers to starting working even further down the periodic table. A hydrogen tweeter would be pretty awesome. Of course, you could only use it on the surface of Jupiter where you had cold enough temperatures and high enough pressures for it to become a solid...Welcome to Rivendell, Mr. Anderson.- Bottom

Actually very realistic Lots have done it....I'm just not so sure about the distortion figures on them...wondering how good they really are although lots of people that have built them praise their sound...but I question what they compare to.- Bottom

Been anxiously awaiting for a few years now... had a chance to listen to the w6-1721 project yet?
Is the Duelund crossover a fad of the past now? Seemed to be stirring up a bit of excitement back when this thread was new.- Bottom
