I should get it in a couple of days, but I imagine it would be a real boon for those who like to do measurements outdoors, since you would need no power for the laptop, card or mic.

Well, got it in and it seems to work just fine. It's a bit larger than I had in my head, but the lack of need for any power cord makes up for that. It's good to have something that replaces my external soundcard and my mic preamp.
