David, I'll have to snag him on one of his trips here. Maybe some live jazz at The Elephant Room on Congress Ave. or something on Sixth Street. That would do it - he'd polish up his resume and spread it around town the next day for sure. Say, there is a bit of hiring going on - so says the grapevine. Well, I'm playing in the Wurst Band at Scholtz Garten tomorrow night. If Jon were still in town, he could meet me there and I'd interrogate him to determine why he's such a work masochist. Hmmm...WAIT A MINUTE!!...I was just "given" another division to tend to at my corporate mother ship...oh no, I could wind up like Jon!! :conveyer: Aieeeee...... :E (exit, stage right...)

There's a lot of that going around these days- my boss was just given two other product group sections in the US to manage besides the one which we are all in and he's been doing previously. I think we have been too successful, and perhaps making some other folks not look good in comparison, so now if they overload him with some additional and demanding "opportunities", things will level out...

Unfortunately my visit to Austin was more like a "special guest star" event, you know, like when "Angel" shows up on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"; Dell is not my regular gig; I was more like a "hired gun" for this special seminar we provided. I don't usually get into Austin; in Texas, most of my time is spent in Dallas or Houston. I was in Dallas earlier this week, and will be in Houston just after the 4th.
