    Sensitivity of M8a?

Hi, Thomas and Jon -- I've built the M8a (though I'm unfortunately having to go through some cabinet "reconstruction") and was wondering what its sensivity was. I didn't see it in the text of the article.

    Thanks very much,
    Andy

Why are you re-doing the cabinets?

I thought you've had enough pain.

In putting the finishing touches on the cabs, i screwed up some of what I'd already done.... :M

So, maybe in a year or so, I'll actually be finished... :B

Well, I tried to solder back the lead that snapped off the end of a Sonicap 8.2 cap... futile attempt to save time and money. My soldering skills are just not good enough. So, I just spent about $20 and about 20 minutes ordering a new one from Dr. J.

So, I guess futility, frustration and fun all go together when it comes to DIY audio.

Yeah, you have to be careful not to flex or bend the cap leads clost to the body- it's pretty easy to fracture crack the copper.

D'Oh! yeah, I've come close with caps, but, knock on wood, haven't done that yet. Resistors, on the other hand, well, that's another story altogether...

Made a good bit of headway on the cabs today. Will have them done soon enough.

Then, it's on to a monster sub...
