    Bamboo Plywood

I am planning to build some cabinets for a full range speaker. I have seen that LBL or Bamboo plywood (not Plyboo) has been recommended for building cabinets.
Where can I get either LBL or Bamboo plywood?

When I needed a small amount, for a speaker baffle, I bought a couple chopping boards from Amazon made of the stuff. As far as I know Jon sourced some not from the cooking department.

Cali Bamboo will deliver to Houston. If you buy two sheets, you can probably get $200/sheet (when last I priced them) for the "standard" 0.75" (19mm?) stuff. Shopping locally, Tech Product Specialties (west side) carries up to 1", but that was $300/sheet plus a $75 delivery charge. Clark's Hardwoods in the Heights can order it, but you might as well go with Cali at that point.
      Welcome to Rivendell, Mr. Anderson.

Woodworkers Source (Arizona) has 3/4" carbonized bamboo in 12" x 48" pieces. I've used it on a couple of projects with good results.

I was just going to chime in with what Paul posted- for smaller projects, its a very easy and reasonable priced way to go, and the material is very high grade- no voids at all. One has to be careful about sheet bamboo ply- the Cali is very good, there is a brand Steve has found that's even better, but some others are fairly poor, with regards to voids and consistency.

Hopefully Steve will post the brand.

Actually the stuff I used last was from Cali Bamboo ..... no issues with voids at all. There is a 2 sheet minimum requirement for shipping, but that's about right for a good sized set off speakers.
