    Sketch-up volume calculation

    Hi,
I wasn't sure where to ask this...

I am brand new to sketch-up, and can't seem to figure out an easy way to calculate volume. This is a learning exercise for me. Any suggestions? I've attached a picture of some Anthology's which I am trying to compare.

I've also looked and never found a way to get volume.
Right click on surface --> Entity info will show area of that surface. So perhaps you get ballpark by using the area of top or bottom and multiplying it by height.

Thanks ergo. That's the way I've been doing it so far. I was hoping to play around with some complex shapes eventually. If i figure anything out, I`ll post it here.

Sketch Up shows the volume of selected component in the Entity Info panel.
Here probably you need to create a shape taking all the internal volume of the speaker, hide everything else just for convenience, and make this shape a component. Then use the Entity Info panel to see the volume.

You will need to make the cabinet into a group before it will give you the volume, otherwise you'll just get the area of whatever face your highlighting. To do that highlight the entire cabinet and then right click and you'll see "make component".
