    Modula's or Natp's

So the Dynamic 4T's have lost their wife approval so I'm in the market for something new. I can cannibalise the 4t's dayton 180s for a new project. I just also happen to have a pair of Sea's 27TDFC's from a project that never made it off the ground. So my delima is I've seen a tonne of Natp's made but since I seem to have on hand 75% of the Modula's on hand I'm stuck on a decision. Which one? :??:??

As the designer of both, I believe the NatalieP crossover sounds better- I don't know if it's less phase shift or group delay, or a slightly better vertical window in the crossover region, but I recommend the NatalieP build. I think it's less expensive, too...

From a cost perspective I figured they'd be equal since I need to source tweets for the natp's, but since the designer has a soft spot for the Natp's I think I have found a choice in the proverbial forked road.

        John,

Can you have a look at my parts list. I have to source out of Solen due to being a Canuk and all. The iron Sledge I can't get at all, so I've gone with a 20awg air core for all of the inductors except the 16awg for the 1.2mH. I have the option of using a .43mH (.44ohm DCR) or .47mH (.47ohm DCR) for the suggested .45mH. What's your fancy on those inductors?

The resistors are Lynk Metal Oxides with a wire wound for the .5 since it wasn't available in the other brand.

Everything is also listed below to make it easier to read. Can you suggest options?

        Capacitors

        PA1200 12 mfd 250v 23x38 France
        PA1000 10 mfd 250v 24x33 France
        PA100 1.0 mfd 250v 11x22 France
        PA200 2.0 mfd 250v 13x27 France
        PA2000 20 mfd 250v 28x43 France
        PA300 3.0 mfd 250v 15x27 France
        PA3000 30 mfd 250v 31x48 France
        PA390 3.9 mfd 250v 17x28 France (closest to 4 i can get)
        PMPC-0.22 0.22 mfd 250v 1% 8x19 China

        Resistors

        WWSQP10J0R5 0.5 Ohms 10 W Taiwan (Wire Wound)
        MO1000J20R 20 Ohms 10 W Taiwan | Lynk Metal |
        MO1000J3R0 3.0 Ohms 10 W Taiwan | Oxide | x 4 to make the 6 ohms needed

        Inductors

        S20.20 .20 mH 0.8 10x19x38 Canada (Air Core 20 awg .27ohms DCR)
        S161.2 1.2 mH 1.3 16x32x64 Canada (Air Core 16 awg .35ohms DCR)
        S20.22 .22 mH 0.8 10x19x38 Canada (Air Core 20 awg .29ohms DCR)

Did some digging in some old posts. Found a member that used the solen 14awg perfect lay inductors. Would these still be fine to use? I'm assuming the caps and resistors are fine.

              S14.43 - 14awg, 0.12ohms DCR
              S14.20 - 14awg, 0.08ohms DCR
              S141.2 - 14awg, 0.24ohms DCR

Yeah- that's what I was going to recommend after thinking about your list a little bit.

Superb! Time to dismantle a pair of Dynamic 4T's and get some new parts and make some dust fly.
