My Modula MTM build and bandpass crossover question

Finally finished the stands on my Modula MTMs built many moons ago (with RS28F tweeters... love me some silk domes). Just thought I'd post pix for anyone into soft core speaker porn.

They passed spousal approval and She Who Controls the Decor has approved my requisition to build a matching center channel. I know it is generally frowned upon for the poor off-axis response, but I am am building the same MTM design into a PE 1.0 cu ft. piano black box to sit on a sturdy shelf atop my TV. I brought the RS-180s in closer than in the Modula MTM build (10" center to center) and offset the tweeter as high as possible using the truncated tweeter faceplate. Hopefully that will help a bit with the canceling of frequencies off-axis...

To the extent that there is unacceptable off-axis response and I don't care to move my butt to the center of the TV to watch movies in surround sound, I was considering dropping in a 4" RS-100 below the RS-28F. Has anyone designed a bandpass crossover for this midwoofer that would work nicely with this setup? If not, is there a relatively inexpensive way to design one (i.e., without purchasing expensive software)? I don't pretend to know how steep the curve needs to be except I'm guessing it would be good to match the 8th order in the original and some sort of l-pad so that there isn't a huge midrange bump.

I've seen Jon Marsh's other designs for center channel, both MTM and WTMW, but wasn't sure if the one he did for the WTMW design study posted by dawaro would work for this application. Thanks all! :T

Update on the Center Channel progress.

Had some time over the past week to solder the crossovers and cut out the faceplate for the woofers and tweeter. thought I'd share the progress...

Decided to go with a sealed enclosure since I'll be setting the crossover point to somewhere in the 60-80 Hz range.

Still need to put some rubber feet on it, wire it up and fire it up. Hopefully, I won't need to move on to phase 2 ("In search of a mid-woofer bandpass band-aid")

Just a quick update to say it sounds great! Way better than the Paradigm Atom CC-170 that it is replacing. The dialogue is clear and intelligible and I don't really hear a difference when standing off-axis. I am sitting about 60 degrees (or more) off axis at the dining room table right now, listening to the news. Sounds great, both male and female voices. Listened to Dave Matthews earlier in 5 channel surround and it also sounded very nice, especially integrated with the other Modulas. Perhaps offsetting the tweeter and bringing the woofers in to 10" CTC was enough?
