    Adhesive for crossover components

Everyone seems to hot glue crossover components to the board. Dumb question. Why isn't the same adhesive used to glue to cabs together (PL, liquid nails, etc) used to secure crossover components to the board? Sorry if this is a speaker builder 101 question...

Hot glue is not a structural adhesive and, in the case of xover components, can be reheated to allow quick and easy removal.

+1, this is why I use hot glue and zip ties, just in case. Besides being permanent, PL or LN can be messy too.

Acrylic latex caulk works just as well. I probably like it a little better because it doesn't create those long spider web like strings when you pull the glue gun away. It seems to stick to the hardboard I use for crossovers and it peels off parts if you need to make changes. But you still need zip ties for the heavy parts. Personal preference.

+1 for zip ties to attach crossover components to a board. I have used short zinc wood screws to attach the boards to the inside of the cabinet when I wasn't sure about the crossover. For my recent build, though, I just hot glued the board to the cabinet. Either way works.

Any "glue" that does not harden. Liquid Nails has a version in a squeeze tube that when cured, remains flexible - I think that isolates xover components from vibration - snake oil? Who knows?
