          That price looks good, maybe really good if you want bamboo specifically. There are other hardwood endgrain boards at comparable prices if one were thinking of going this way.
          Thanks for the heads up Face, I had been looking at various options for an open baffle and hadn't considered this even though I like the material and had looked at it for countertops.

            Not nearly as thick, but some interesting styles for baffles, especially the striped boards.

                Those are a given. But unless you need a large piece, the links above are a little cheaper.

                    A friend at work was joking with me last week that I've switched from making speakers out of cardboard, to making them from grass!

                      I'd bet they're making cutting boards out of them and either giving them away with the countertop job or selling them.

                        I'm personally gearing up to make a small sealed 10" sub using the sink cut out from my counter tops. It's 1.5" maple butcher block. Ill let you all know how I make out.
