It looks like OAudio is out of business

It's sad to see another supplier to the DIY community closing its doors. I was looking at another sub build and went to my favorite plate amp supplier only to find this posted on the home page:

∙O Audio is a small family business; and, as a family grows, priorities and time
commitments change. As we enter 2013, it is time for us to close up shop.

∙We have greatly enjoyed working with you, our customers. We have spent
time researching answers to your project questions and have provided help
whenever possible. We have really enjoyed seeing your project results and
    experiencing your enthusiasm.

    Thanks,
    -Bob

Hobby businesses are tough to keep going when "normal" life gets more complicated. Similar situation with DIY Cable.

Actually, Kevin posted over at AVS last month that he's getting back in the game. Apparently has a partner this time and DIYCable will be a side business this time instead of the family's main source of income.

Yea I think with Kevin it was more that it was their main source of income and it fluctuated a lot.

That's too bad. O Audio seemed to have a good business going. Maybe someone will buy them out and keep the company alive.

I believe they had supplier problems, unfortunately buying them out wouldn't have solved anything.

I saw somewhere that the Canadian BASH company was sold to a Chinese company. That might have had something to do with it.
