A friend of mine from out of state has 2 oem crossover boards that he is sneding me along with oem tweeter and woofer. He was starting a diy project but changed his mind. He informed me the xover board is assembled with quick connect wires that just plug into the woofer & tweeter with a couple more for the binding posts. (I assume). However, the xover is NOT labled as to which wires go were. They are color coded, green brown, black, stripped, etc.
Do xovers wires generally follow a standardization? ie. (this is just an example, im not sure of the colors until the parts arrive).
brown always to woofer + black to woofer - , green to tweeter + yellow to tweeter -, etc orange to binding post +, orange w/stipe to binding post -Just curious which go where before I connect them incorrectly. This is my 1st build as well, since they are oem and already assembled I was hoping it would be easy.
Thanks for the advice.
