    Peerless+Vifa take 2

the First version came out nice, but I never finished it. I made some mis-calculations with the volume.

this next version will be piano red finish.

    the Peerless woofer is recessed.

the facets are 35 degrees. the first version was 45 degrees. So the Jig is at 55 degrees.

Im hoping once I paint it, the imperfections of the recess do not show much. I could have mount it flush, but what is the fun in that? Im just very picky when it comes to these things. I wanted to go with a regular woofer, but I've ben wanting to use these speakers and mount them recessed for the longest time.

It is going to be tilted at 10 degrees.

I love seeing the jigs folks use! Nice stuff.

If you're wanting that kind of perfection, look into making templates. Otherwise, it looks like it'll disappear if you paint the recess black, even if the rest of the baffle isn't black.

Great job. I despise non-round frames...

              SEAS Prestige 27TBCD/GB-DXT

Can the SEAS Prestige 27TBCD/GB-DXT be used in this type of an enclosure given that it is angled?

I don't see why you couldn't use a DXT. The 15 degree off axis curve is at most only 2 db different than the on axis all the way out to 20kHz. Your boxes are only slanted back by 10 degrees, so that's even less. That's an advantage of horns. Their off axis curve is nearly identical to the on axis - just a bit lower in volume.
