Pretty sure that dayton you mentioned should be pretty adequate. I don't know of a balanced RCA connection, balanced uses at least 3 wire, an RCA cable uses 2.

Bridged into 4 ohm is working things pretty hard - each channel only sees a 2 ohm load which is pretty tough on things. Bridged into 8 is a lot kinder - glad you got it working though

it seems to handle a 4 ohm load pretty well but it does heat up fast. but it cools down just as fast. 1 thing I definitely did notice though is that it is very power hungry. I think it's all a 15 amp breaker could handle safely.
